GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY FRONT RUNNER GALA

t's time to CELEBRATE! 2021 marks the ISA Edmonton Section's 50th Anniversary, and celebrate we will at our Golden Anniversary Front Runner Gala. Why a front runner theme? We serendipitously received the Section Excellence Award for 2021 from ISA HQ (so technically we are #1) - and - horse racing seems, simply fitting, for the affair. 

In the running for the event... an equine competition (there will even be a dedicated "ISA Edmonton Section 50th Anniversary Race"), cocktails, fine dining, a formal program, casino action (including a slot tournament), an over-the-top cake, and more.

Event Details

• Date: Friday, November 26, 2021
• Location: Century Mile
• Schedule: 
  • 5:30pm - Cocktail Hour, Presidents' Welcome Address & Racing 101 Tutorial
  • 6:15pm - Racing Starts
  • 7pm - Dinner = Classic Christmas Fare (buffet-style)
  • 7:45pm - Formal Program - A Melting Pot of "Why ISA?" Toasts 
  • 8:30pm - Cake Cutting
  • 9:00pm - Slot Tournament
• Dress: Let's get in the spirit and be fancy (semi-formal)!

COVID-19 Precautions

Our goal is to host this event as safely as possible taking into account changing Government of Alberta public health actions. Since this event will require more than a 1/3 capacity limit we will be implementing the Government of Alberta Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or negative test result, plus mandatory masking, in order to attend.
