Technical Sales Account Manager

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing MicroWatt's sales within a defined regional territory. Responsibilities include day to day management and development of customers and maintenance of regular contact with engineering firms, end users and integrators. Regular travel is required to effectively carry out responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Proactively pursue business opportunities with our Industrial, Commercial, & Municipal related customers/clients
- Foster positive and effective relationships with our customers
- Drive sales success through the maintenance and growth of our existing customer base and the addition of new customers, including the sale of existing and new product lines
- Regular contact with assigned customers to support the goals of establishing MicroWatt LifeSafety Solutions as a preferred vendor and continued industry leader
- Work with our internal team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Ensure timely completion of all reporting requirements, within the parameters of our CRM package and according to the criteria established for measuring sales success
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education;
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
- Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team
- Working on after-sales support services and providing technical back up as required
- Arranging and carrying out product training
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of the company’s products and remain current
- Comply with and participate in the continuous improvement of the Company’s Health & Safety programs and Quality Systems
- Any other related responsibilities not detailed here but that could be reasonably expected
Job Requirements
- Technical Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation
- Minimum of 3 years sales instrumentation experience
- Successful account management track record and experience with EPC, end-users, integrators/OEMs, & strategic partners
- Experience in burner management systems, emissions monitoring, process instrumentation, condition monitoring, gas & flame detection, and custom engineered systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong problem solving and application engineering skills
- Well-developed presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively and productively in team settings
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- Ability to deal with situations, people and problems ethically, with honesty and integrity
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SalesForce CRM
