Job Description
Salary: $80K to $90K base plus commission, benefits and car allowance. A laptop and cell are provided. This position requires you to work from a home office. Location: Calgary or Edmonton, AB Description: Our client is a leading supplier of analytical instrumentation and is expanding and strengthening its sales team in Western Canada and seeks a Technical Sales Representative based in Calgary or Edmonton, to help support their growing business.
Job Responsibilities
- Organize, manage and expand sales activities within an established Southern Alberta territory
- Maintain and develop business relationships with customer base
- Develop product and analytical solutions expertise
- Emphasize product features based on analysis of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
- Demonstrate and explain the operation and use of products
- Conduct training and information seminars for key clients
- Maintain knowledge of competitor activity and pricing trends
- Perform market research and development of new clients
- Assist inside sales in preparation of price quotations and proposals
- Collaborate with the service and integration team with a focus on project sales
- Establish a yearly sales plan
- Participate in exhibitions, shows and seminars
- Maintain a current contact management database and project listing
Job Requirements
- Industry and/or sales experience of 5 years minimum is required
- University degree or college diploma in relevant discipline
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, strong computer skills
- Independent, self-motivated and adaptable to change
- Friendly, energetic and outgoing, a team player
- Attention to detail, organized, excellent time management skills
- Valid driver's license
