President's Message - Let's Grow Our Membership!

Thank you to all ISA Edmonton Section members for putting your faith in me by electing me as your 2019-2020 President!

I am very excited to lead the best ISA Section in the world. By best I mean the Section that consistently gets the most industry professionals to our monthly technical talks and tours, the Section with the biggest golf tournament (the Fall Classic is a first-class affair), and the Section that produces the most impressive automation event in in North America – mark your calendars for AEC 2020, the ISA Edmonton Section Automation Expo & Conference, happening April 29 & 30, 2020.

My main goal this year is to stimulate membership growth for our Section. With 255 professional members (July 2019 stat), we’re currently the 8^th largest section in the world. By July 2020, I’d like to increase membership by 10%. This equates to 281 professional members, bumping us to 3^rd place!

Can we do it? Can you help me?

As president I would like to ask each member to reach out to a colleague and/or friend who is not a member or perhaps whose membership has lapsed, and convince them to join or renew. If we all do this, we will easily meet – and far surpass – this goal.
