President's Message - A New World!

Thank you ISA Edmonton Section members and board volunteers for electing me as President for a second year.
The International Society of Automation develops standards, offers certification, provides education and training, publishes books and technical articles, and hosts’ conferences and exhibitions for industry.
The ISA Edmonton Section’s board is excited for a year of top-notch events, such as the Rogers Place Tour (our premiere event), the sold-out Fall Classic Golf Tournament, the AEC / Automation Expo & Conference (our major bi-annual event coming April 2018)… and so many more.
People within our industry are operating in a new world, one with minimal or reduced human intervention, and in some instances, one where processes have been completely automated. The new generation views automation as a big part of our future; we are excited to showcase individuals and companies at the forefront of this!
Our vision is to work in partnership with our members, industry professionals, and subject-matter experts to disseminate the highest quality of unbiased automation information worldwide.
