In 2000, at the young age of 15, Michael Calce, better known as “Mafiaboy”, brought several big player websites to an astonishing halt. CNN, Amazon, Yahoo, Dell, the list goes on…
After serving time, and growing up a little more, Michael Calce figured out a way to use his hacker brains in a more savvy (not to mention legal) way.
Today, 16 years later, Calce works as a cybersecurity consultant, advising companies on how to protect themselves from what history dictates that he does best.
The ISA Edmonton Section and the ISA Automation Expo & Conference (AEC) Team is delighted to announce that Calce will be a headliner at this April’s event!
Calce plans to: tell us more about his story, speak about current events related to cybersecurity, give us an inside look at the mind of a hacker, offer his top five security recommendations and do a live demo. After his presentation there will be a formal question and answer period, and following this he will stick around to chat with attendees 1 on 1.
This will be a by invitation only event. Sponsor companies and exhibiting companies will be given the first right of refusal on purchasing a table. More details to come in the New Year!
