Join the ISA Edmonton Section for an expert-led instrumentation & automation-focused tour of Epcor Gold Bar Waste Water Treatment Plant!
Attendees can expect to hear an introductory presentation about Epcor Gold Bar Waste Water Treatment Plant, the Grit Recovery Facility Project for the City of Edmonton and the Supernatant Nutrient Recovery Facility (a recent addition to the Clover Bar Edmonton Waste Management Centre). Afterwards, there will be a guided technical tour of the outdoor facilities and of the underground tunnels.
Abhishek Bhargava (Senior Manager, Operations), Ken Grossell (Operations Manager) and Elvin Han (Operations Engineer) will be presenting and leading the tours.
Event Details
Date: Tuesday, November 1, 2016
Event Schedule:
- 5:30pm - Pizza & Pop Networking Dinner (in Centre of Excellence building classroom)
- 6:00pm - Welcome & Introductory Presentation (in Centre of Excellence building auditorium)
- 6:30pm to 8:00pm - Technical Tour of Facility
- Outdoor Facilities (approximately 1 hour, dress for the weather)
- Underground Tunnels (approximately a half hour)
Important Safety Protocol:
- Personal protective equipment is required for the tour - please bring a hard hat and safety glasses, and wear closed-toed shoes. Note: A limited number of hard hats and safety glasses are available on-site for those that do not have these items, please email info@isaedmonton.org in advance of the tour date to reserve.
- The speed limit on the premises is 20km/hr.
- Using a mobile device while driving is strictly prohibited.
Address: 10977 50 St NW, use the north gate entrance (drive north on 50th street until you see the gate).
Parking: ISA Board Members will be on-site directing people on where to park.
