Mentorship Program - ISA Edmonton

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Grow Your Career With ISA Edmonton’s Mentorship Program!

Mentorship Program Overview

The ISA Edmonton Section Mentorship Program has been established to help mentees build and grow a career in automation. The program is eight months long and runs from November to June on a yearly basis. Mentees are paired with a mentor that has experience in the mentee’s area(s) of interest.

Mentees have the opportunity to establish a relationship with their mentor and to create an automation industry confidante (please note: this is not a career placement program). Mentors may be willing to give mentees a reference letter at the end of the program (upon request and at the mentor's discretion).

The ISA Edmonton Section Mentorship Program includes the following:

  • An initial Meet Your Mentor & Goal Setting Meeting (November)
  • Two follow-up meetings to review progress (February & April)
  • A year-end Mentorship Program Dinner with all mentors and mentees (June) where mentees receive an ISA Edmonton Section Mentorship Certificate of Completion or Participation, and a Mentorship Program Review (a document where the mentor makes suggestions for the future)

Reminders about the above milestones will be emailed to mentees and mentors.

Mentees are responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring they are an ISA Edmonton Section Member (membership is free for students, to sign-up please email info@isaedmonton.org)
  • Attending all ISA Edmonton Section Technical Talks while enrolled in the Mentorship Program (Technical Talks are held on the first Monday evening of the month, visit www.isaedmonton.org/events-education for details)
  • Volunteering for one ISA Edmonton Section initiative while enrolled in the Mentorship Program
  • Setting up all meetings with their mentor (the mentor will contact the mentee to set-up the first Meet Your Mentor & Goal Setting Meeting, and to invite the mentee to the Mentorship Program Dinner)
