The position is for an Account Manager / Outside Sales Specialist to develop new business and manage existing business in the Edmonton and Central Alberta industrial territory. The ideal candidate will have a passion for getting to know customers and their needs. They will be committed to building professional relationships with customers, vendors and the inside sales force to ensure needs are met in the best way possible while maintaining professionalism, integrity and honesty.
The account manager is responsible for developing relationships and acknowledging sales opportunities in specific sales territories. The position requires the selling of all summit industrial products. Travel is expected for approximately two to three days per week. During this time the account manager is expected to be in the field meeting with customers, building relationships, uncovering needs and winning business.
Previous outside sales experience (5 years or more) with industrial customers and an established reputation of success. Experience with valves, automation and instrumentation. Willingness to travel (territory predominately encompasses Edmonton and central Alberta). Engineering degree or technology degree is preferred. Time management skills are necessary. Own vehicle, valid driver’s license and personal insurance is mandatory.
