JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing Micro-Watt's sales within a defined regional territory. Responsibilities include day to day management and development of customers and maintenance of regular contact with engineering firms, end users and integrators. Regular travel is required to effectively carry out responsibilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively pursuing business opportunities, primarily with our large Oil and Gas Customers and related Engineering firms
  • Establishing MicroWatt as a preferred vendor
  • Developing effective strategies to foster relationships with our customers
  • Working closely with the Inside sales team to drive growth and sales success by ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Completing sales reports on a timely basis within our CRM system (Salesforce.com)
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge of Micro-Watt's products and remain current on competitors' products and pricing

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation (would be an asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years instrumentation sales experience, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Successful account management track record with Canada's major Oil and Gas companies
  • Product knowledge is an asset; preference will be given to applicants that have experience with gas & flame detection, safety systems, SCADA, flow & level measurement
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Strong team player with well-developed organizational and strategic abilities
  • Strong problem solving and application engineering skills
